Olbermann lays the Katrina smack down

I used to think Keith Olbermann was a sports-only dude. I used to be wrong. Turns out he can deliver a delicious rant on newsy news too.

I've been an a-hole. I've been one of the few that has said "i doubt kerry would be able to do any better than bush" Well, i apologize. I think my lack of faith in either candidate fueled my view on why i had apathy towards the last election. I am embarrassed. Because i finally understand exactly what my friends knew much earlier than I did. There IS A CLEAR DIFFERENCE. although neither may be qualified to be president, I now see that kerry clearly is more qualified to be a competent human. one who could have helped us in a time of tragedy. I think good ole Keith Oberman said pretty much what i was thinking: "We are in deep, deep shit."
myself and people like me should be mortified about our behavior. It is by far too late.

sorry for being serious. sorry for being a dick

i don't think you're the one that owes anybody an apology. there are a bunch of nice elections coming up in 2006 that coould make a big difference.

I think the problem is not with Bush or Kerry, but the foolish reliance on this lumbering beast that is our federal government. Instead of focusing on maintaining order after a natural disaster, they hold hearings to find out if Jose Canseco stuck a needle in Mark McGuire's ass in a bathroom stall ten years ago.
