For some reason this dude rubs me the wrong way. If you take a look at some of the previous months' entries, you'll see that he's a full-of-shit pontificating jerk. Can you believe there are people like this on the Internet?
To make sure, I kept flipping back as far as June 2004. Did you know about "the (erroneous) belief that mankind is marching off into an evermore deliriously wonderful high tech future -- when, actually, the opposite is about to happen"? Ah yes, thank you for the edification, how ever could we have been so erroneous? And if you don't mind his attitude that much, consider that criticizing shitty architecture (positing for a moment his ability to identify it) is about as sporting as bragging about how many apples you shot with your rifle.
Everything makes a little more sense when it's anchored.

I'll give you one guess whether there's homework I should be doing.
A Google Image Search for 'eyesore' turns up a lot of interesting pictures, but none of them is especially sore to the eyes. IMO.
