Upgrade Blogger?

should we upgrade to the new version of Blogger? I just did it with my other blogs and it was simple.

then we can tag our posts (video, techy, weird, etc.. whatever we want)

sooo... i attempted to switch the blog over. looks like the original owner of a team blog (dewey?) needs to switch over before the change will take.

Did it.

I guess that now everyone has to convert their old blogger accounts to new gmail accounts in order to log in and post.

i was the anon poster above. don't know what the problem was there, especially since this blog isn't configured to allow anon posts.

also didn't realize that everyone would need a gmail login after the switchover... hopefully that won't be a problem.

Not sure if this should have worked automatically or not, but it didn't... please to re-add me on the new side?

Schmonz,

It says you are a contributor, and I've even made you an admin, but you won't show up on the side tab. I don't know what else to try. I guess I could remove you and re-add you.

Do you need to upgrade your own blogger account to the new jack style?

I tried to switch over, but I'm a member of another blog that hasn't switched so maybe that got in the way. I can log into the new Blogger as schmonz at gmail and get nothing on my Dashboard, and I can log into the old Blogger and see my two blogs but not post anything Anchorbuttery.

I'm on the side tab now, but my Blogger number is way fewer digits than everyone else's, so maybe it's still the old me? Maybe I have two unrelated Blogger identities?

dewey, can you remove my old schmonz identity and add my schmonz at gmail one? That should work, I think.

I think I did it. Is your schmonz at gmail address literally schmonz (at) gmail (dot) com?

Or is it something like TehMightyMightySchmonz (at) gmail (dot) com?

Yeah it's literally that (the former (but not literally "theformer@gmail.com")). If that's what you put in then it seems not to have worked -- I still don't see anchorbutt in my Dashboard when logged in as gmail me. :-(

The semester just started too, so this is especially urgent!
