How was that cooked? Probably deep fried but I've got to wonder.

from the posture of the animal, i think it must be like this:

1. live buttered guinea pig is dusted with salt and dill, placed in a dark 15 meter tunnel
2. bell sounds
3. animal wheeks, runs as quickly as possible toward exit
4. in 5s, jets of fire fill the enclosure
5. plate with plastic fork and potatoes

No, the thing isn't singed enough. Jets of boiling oil perhaps.

For the curious.

not related, but i think i've exceeded my new post quota for the week: new radiohead album is a really great listen. sounds different for them... more musical? textures, polyrhythm, pretty melodies.

anyway, i gave them 5 "quids", which is approximately 15,000 Moon Dollars.

ChiliCon said...

C'mon man the plural form of quid is quid.

tormp said...

really??????

ChiliCon said...

Well, maybe, if you're referring to british or irish money.
If you're referring to some nerdy website where you rate the album with quids then I wouldn't know.

tormp said...

so what's the plural form of "squid"?

mani said...

squid.

I think if it's different kinds of squid together then it is "squids".

So I guess if you have Irish and British monies at the same time, you have "quids".

I can't help but think that guinea pigs might have worked out better at the pig roast.

i surrender! i knew that "quid" was plural, that's why i put "quids" in quotation marks, and compared it to moon dollars. i was amused by entering a monetary value in british pounds to complete an online transaction. i was less amused when i saw how weak the dollar was compared to every other form of currency. i'm changing all of my money to gold ingots.

as far as the pig roast. hasn't doug re-relocated to berea, the cultural center of the greater airport region? sharpen some sticks and have a celebratory guinea pig roast in his honor, the next time he's home. i'm sure you could find rat meat somewhere at the west side market.

at the very least, you should visit the local mall pet store or 4H club and ask which color guinea pig is the most delicious.

here's a name for the event: "cuy"ahogathon 2008

sorry. I'm having trouble with the literal reading of the words on the internet.

Or inspired by the turducken, we could say that a cuyahoga is a pig stuffed with guinea pigs. Yum!

tormp said...

wow. i hadn't even considered the "hog" in "cuyahoga". i'm serious -- there's some eastern european meat shill at the west side market who will execute this idea with speed if only given the opportunity.

balls

ChiliCon said...

The plural of ball.

ti - a drink with jam and bread.

ChiliCon said...

Y'know when I was young I used to think that ti was a drink with German bread.

I also used to think that sarcasm worked well over the internet, Tormp.

I found out this weekend about paying whatever you choose to download the Radiohead album. Why didn't you mention that? Now things make some sense. Geeze.
