I have played a lot of that damn game. I especially like the "$10000" style, where you just have to see how long you can last. I can't ever get past round 65ish.
There are youtube videos (sped up, thankfully) of how to get high scores. They help with learning basic strategy.
Kofno had been talking this up, but I kept forgetting. Now that a link has been handed to me on a silver platter, I'm hooked. Thumbs up to the sound effects.
If you are lucky enough to own a PS3, there is a downloadable game (for $10) that is very similar. It's made by Pixel Junk, and is called 'Monsters'. They add another resource for upgrades, and it's a pretty sweet game.
Just tried The 100 to see how long you can last. Took my patented strategy on Hard which nets me around 8600 with no deaths most of the time and made it to 68 or 69, with 7600 pts.
Everything makes a little more sense when it's anchored.
