Everything makes a little more sense when it's anchored.

that usage would render "do you know the muffin man?" ambiguous
It's good to have a thing.
If you know what it means, it actually has a very satisfying sound. Try saying "I hate that muffin jackass" using the same inflection as you'd normally use - it feels good.
